Fresh Brown or White Beech Mushrooms (227g).
Brown Beech Mushrooms are known as Buna-Shimeji, Hypsizigus Tessellatus which is the same scientific name for our White Beech, or Hon-Shimeji mushrooms.
They are similar except in colouration. They have a rich flavour described as a mild, nutty and sweet taste. Their texture is very interesting, as when they are cooked it is both firm and remains juicy. These are incredible for hot pots, soups, stews, or in stir fries and cooked in salads. They're also great with fish or meats, and are a good source of protein and an excellent source of dietary fibre. They also contain many of the B vitamins, Potassium, Zinc and Copper.
All packaging is compostable or recyclable. Fresh mushrooms are sold locally. Only dried products are shipped outside of Newfoundland and Labrador.
