Borat is a purple stripe, hardneck garlic with a spicy initial flavour that mellows into a lovely earthy and musky garlic flavour.
Just like Borat, this garlic originated in Kazakhstan and is "VERY NICE". You will adore its pungent flavour and lovely aftertaste.
With 7-10 cloves, this is a good storage variety that can last up to 5-7 months when stored well. Typical hardneck storage is in a mesh bag placed in a dark basement around 13-14 C, and with around 40-50% humidity.
Borat tastes great in baked lasagnas, with grilled meats, in stews, with vegetables, and is remarkably tasty in salad dressings. One of our favourite uses is in caesar salad dressing to attain that true "WA WA WEE WA" flavour.
