Mark Wilson operates both Newfoundland Gourmet Mushroom Company LTD & NL Organics LTD. He is certified in the province and in the U.S. as a wild mushroom expert. He has called NL home since 2004 originally working at Memorial University on a Terra Nova National Park Mushroom Diversity Project. He’s been involved in the mushroom industry for over 20 years in various roles including the wild harvest of medicinal and gourmet mushrooms throughout Eastern N.A. He’s been cultivating high-quality mushrooms on his 9 acre farm in Portugal Cove for the local market since 2018. Mark is an organic inspector certified in both farm and processing facilities and brings lots of food safety and regulatory experience to the table along with those tasty mushrooms.
